Welcome to the Syreena B the bloG! I am a lover of Jesus Christ, a wife, a mother, a sister, a daugther, a friend, a business owner and a girl with a TON of dreams. This site is about my search to live my life through L-O-V-E. To discover my strengths, take the magnifying glass off of my weaknesses and learn to enjoy the process one step at a time. I strongly believe that becoming a mommy has catapulted my life into this beautiful journey of faith and love and I am chasing after them more and more of everyday. Learn more about me in "PIECES OF ME".

{TRAVELING W/ THE BOYS}

Lemme just be real. Getting out of the house with two two and under is rough! And, in my house, if I am not prepared the night before... it just doesn't happen. We play "outside" in the living room with a tricycle and some forts. And what?!? There is just sooooOOOO much stuff I need to keep these lil's happy. Of course, my father-in-law feels like all we need to do is let them get used to it and "talk to them" and all will be right with the world. I'm still working on that one. In the meantime, I just make sure that I'm strapped in case anything goes down. You know, like, diaper blow outs, hunger pains that cause serious tantrums and chemical imbalances (cuz, it HAS to be chemical...my boys are two little ANGELS and they would NEVER act like that under their own free will).

This is how things MUST be in order for mommy to leave the house...

car seats IN...

diaper bag FULLY LOADED, shopping cart cover stuffed behind passenger seat #1...

extra wipes, diapers, lotion, water... ALL SO NECESSARY!

toys, burp cloths, nursing cover...

This is what we like to call the "activity center" for the big lil'. DVD Player, books, juice, extra juice, extra dvds... we try our best around here to keep that kid happy...

and a view from the other side...

Am I the only one that MUST be prepared in order to even "think" about taking the kids out?

{TO D.C. WITH LOVE: 30/30}

Last saturday was a pretty big day for me! It marked to first time I have been away from my babies for longer than an hour or two (sad but true). I road tripped it, with the fam, to D.C to hang out, sight-see, and meet up with my college bestie! As a part of my 30/30 I am to have breakfast/lunch/dinner with 15 different friends. I listed this because it has been WAYYY too long since I have connected with the people in my life that meant a TON to me at one point or another. (sad fact, yet again). I am kinda like a "best-'er and neglect-'er". Lemme explain... I develop these super close relationships, through high-school/college/wherever, and then as my life goes on and I get "too busy" I forget to call, to write, to ask about... (I think this is a confession :/ and an apology all at the same time to: you know who you are). Anywhoooo, part of my 30/30 is to fix that. To "right" that "wrong" and re-connect with these amazing people that really do mean a lot to me.

So, I left my lil's in the care of my baby-daddy, and tripped it to our nations capitol!

Where...

They have houses with 1/2 addresses...

awesome places for photo opps...

and amazing schools that are currently teaching my sistA to answer all of my medical related questions and training her to be the family on-call doctor... LOL

and a place where mother's make you stop every 15th of a mile to wait 85 minutes for their slow point & shoot cameras to re-compose because they wanna take another picture :)...

and there are awesome windows for the photog to snap a self-portrait to remember she was thier too...

and telephone booths... no actual telephone...but the booth...

for photo sake I guess...

After spending the morning wandering the streets and seeing the sights, it was off to see my L-E-S-L-E-Y!!! I met this girl my freshman year at Penn State. To say that we were "tiight" would be a serious understatement!! I Luv'D heA.... I'wD do anything fa HaA..LoL. Even karaoke on video to Destiny's Child's "Say My Name".... (Les...if you ever find that video...burNN it!!!) But, after swicthing school a couple times, marrying the big guy and having the two lil's ... we went from talking errrrday, to talking..ummm...like NeveR! (so sad)...

Anyways, aiin't she cute...

Of course I wanted to take some pics and she was all, let's go... and I was all, that's my girlLLL... This one's my FAV...

{VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA}

Well, it's been a week since we tripped it to our favorite place. Virginia Beach, Virginia! We met there. In a random biology class at TCC. I was taking a few courses for the semester before transfering to Virginia Tech. He was finishing up classes before moving on to Old Dominion. Virginia Beach was where we made our first memories, saw our first movie (our first movie together, of course). We LOVE Virginia Beach! And, last weekend we packed the kiddies up and road tripped it back to our old stomping ground for a visit with friends, family and some good ole' beachy fun.

My first picture there....

no make-up ... don't judge...

I think that this guy was in some sort of beachy-like trance....

the big lil' was having wayyyy too much fun sinking his feet in the sand, so to speed up the walk to the water we diverted his attention to the birds...

his sandy toes...

geezzzz...I Love my men...

The big lil'... "look, iss-a-ship"!!!!

While I so wish there was enough time to do everything that we wanted to do during our visit, of course we just didn't get to. And that gives every bit of an excuse to get back soon.

To all of the people that we said we would try our hardest to get around to but just couldn't, etch us in for next time....(and somehow I feel like I'm giving shout outs to the boys on the block but whatever...you get the point..LoL)

{OUR FIRST TRIP TO THE ZOO...}

Whooo... Hoooo.... So, this is the time in mommyhood that I have been most looking forward to. Being able to pack up cutesy lunches & snap awesome memories of good ole' family field trips (cuz I'm a "family" now...duhhh).  A few weeks ago Brian and I packed the boys up and headed out to the Cape May County Zoo in Cape May, NJ!

LOVE THIS ZOO...

I am almost positive that the big lil' was so excited that he didn't quite know what to do with himself...

the animals were AMAZING...

and the grounds were gorgeous!!! They do an amazing job keeping the Zoo nice and tidy and so I'd like to extend a big ole' fat "Thank you" to the peeps at the Cape May County Zoo...

lions and tigers and bears.... (you know the rest...lol)

The lion was a little sleepy I guess... and the big lil' ever-so-affectionately calls him "The King"...

please forgive us for looking a hot-greasy-mess... it was sooooo humid and my hair didn't have a chance (all you natural-haired brown girls out there should know EXACTLY what I'm saying) I felt like I was back in my Virginia Beach days when there was NO point in curling my hair before school in the morning.... just POINTLESS...

I LOVED this G-raff.... he was sooooo beautiful...

aiint they the cutest???

ok... so, Brian practically BEGGED me not to post the following. But, let's be real babe... we can have everything we want in life now can we???

and my FAVORITE PART..... I got GREAT video footage of the tiger coming towards us and the big lil's face as he walked by...

but HIS favorite part of the trip???..... in his words...

"HEY, THAT SOUNDS LIKE A CHOO CHOO TRAIN"...

LOVED THIS TRIP!!!

Anyone ever been to this zoo?
