{CAMERON'S 3RD BIRTHDAY BASH...}

The big lil's 3rd birthday party was last Saturday after our visit to Adventure Aquarium. I am so super pleased with myself actually throwing things together after missing his ACTUAL birthday because I was sick. I had planned on an "Under the Sea" theme to go along with our trip to the aquarium but things didn't quite pan out that way. Instead I decided to play off of his movie of choice right now and chose to play it Toy Story style.

I remember birthdays being very small and intimate with a homemade birthday cake, (my favorite memories from my childhood) and I want, more than anything, for my lil's to share that same joy. So, homemade birthday cake it was...

Simple streamers are very inexpensive and a great way to add a little fun, flare and excitement. I lined them across the doorways for the lil's to run through in order to enter the party...

he LOVED it...

they did it over and over again before they even realized that there was more fun ahead...

the inspiration...

juice and snacks...

favor bags full of fun...

opening gifts...

Nana and Pop Pop's birthday gift. Great game... too bad the big lil' LOVES to watch us play it instead of playing it himself LOL...

a birthday hug from his God-sister...

the birthday boy...

the new lil' was super tired so he wasn't too interested in joining the fun. He just laid back and watched...

loved that the streamers also made and awesome backdrop for the birthday table...

and time for blowing out some candles...

a lil' dur-day cake...

and some self timer fun for mommy and daddy...

just know that I am only including more pics of myself because I know that I enjoy seeing pictures of the bloggers that I follow. But, please me know if it's getting to be too much. I will gladly cut back ;)

My babies had a blast and that makes me one happy momma. I really have a greater appreciation for parents who make these great memories possible for their children. It's rough work but it's SOOOO worth it.

I love them!!!

Maybe year 4 or 5 I will start inviting a bunch of kids to the boy's birthday bashes. But for now, I don't think they even notice so why bother?!? How do you do your kids birthdays??!?? Go all out or keep it small and simple?

{KENDALL'S FIRST BIRTHDAY...}

The best day of 2011 was, hands down, the day my new lil' was born. Changed my life in more ways than one..or two, or three...or thirty!!! This year he smiled for the first time, he laughed for the first time, he crawled for all of two weeks, then he walked for the first time. January 2, 2012 was my Kendall Bear's First Birthday!!!!! And, since I have resolved not to wait for perfect conditions and celebrate every moment possible of 2012, it started off beautifully with my baby's first birthday bash.

My new lil' is so adventurous. So, the theme for his birthday was "Adventures Out There"! And I based it around the Disney movie UP

This was my favorite picture (s) of the day....

the quick and easy birthday table...

I made this super easy Adventure Book Scrapbook to document all of the adventurous things that my new lil' gets into this year...

and this is the b-day cake which I was totally trying to make into some UP awesomeness, which wasn't turning out so marvelously and so I dumbed it down a bit and kept it simple. I'm no baker, people!

I got these popcorn cans at Target in Charlotte with my mommy. They turned out to be perfect for our UP movie night premier!

Disney had these awesome little printables that took way too much effort to cute and assemble but sooo worth the effort.

this was the only picture I got of my Kendall Bear with his birthday hat on. He has a STRONG dislike for hats. Period.

I set out mini serving of Cherrios since the lil' is so digging them right now...

Clearly, they must be some kind of good...

And, this was our little b-day boy set UP....

would have given anything and three dimes if the new lil' had decided to participate and LOOK at the camera for this one. But I love it anyway...

a little candle blowing help from his big brother...

I still can't believe we are parents?!?...

me getting in on some icing action... LorD knows I love me some buttercream...

now onto the movie...

the big lil' rocked his adventure-like aviator sweater  he was gifted from his God-Parents, which was PERFECT for the occasion...thanks Nate, Meek and Morgie...

and the boys spent a little time in the tent...a.k.a the Alaskan Adventure...get it?

we kept the attendes small and simple... there will be many more years to have a house full of kiddos and today just wasn't one of those :)

me and the husband...

the peeps that made this possible...

and to my mommy who helped me find awesome stuff to pull it all together... I Love You!!! Wish you were here...

And to my Kendall Bear,

You're AweSomE. And, mommy LOVES you. That's ALL!!!

{LET THE PARTIES BEGIN... LO LO'S 1st BIRTHDAY}

So, I thought I would have a couple more years before I became one of those moms. You know, one of those moms who's constantly filling up the calendar and chauferring the kids to one birthday party after the next. But, apparently I thought WRONG! The birthday parties are in full effect and the big lil' is MORE THAN EXCITED!!!

big lil': mommy!!! (quick breath here) let's get in the car (quick, excited breath here) and go to da par-eee!!!

me: ok hun-eee

big lil': and have durr-day cake!!!!

I LovE it!!!

I stayed at home with the new lil' a few Saturday's ago while the husband took the big lil' to his second durr-day party of the year (next to the new lil's). Then we turned right around on Sunday and hit up thier third party of the year and it's only the second week of January!!!

This time it was our Lo Lo's 1st birthday! Logan was born only a few hours before the new lil'. I actually carried my big ole', pregant, restless, ready-to-pop self to the hospital to visit her the morning before I went into labor that Sunday night.

And, now she is ALREADY a one year old.

Her mommy threw her an adorable Parisian Themed B-Day bash and we joked the whole party about how she and the new lil' are like twin-zzz's! They are SO ALIKE!!!

The cake was pretty awesome and Lo Lo even did a little cute clapping routine while we sung happy birthday...

I totally ruined the focus on this pic but I love it none-the-less. He's all...I'm here... and I'm ready to parrrrrrrr-teyyyyyyyy (Bridesmaids style...lol).

here is a better pic of my new lil' with the paci consuming about 3/4ths of his facial area :)

and I just 'bout cried to see how soft and gentle the big lil' was being with his little cousin Lo...

isn't she the cutiest...

Happy Birthday Lo Lo...

{HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY}

I LOVE a great holiday! A reason to celebrate, reminisce and have fun with the fam is always welcomed in my book. So we invited the family, drew up a quick menu, got the grill rolling, broke out a few decorations and decided to have some fun.

Just thought I'd share a lil...

the apples were originally supposed to be candied and I figured I would offer them up minus the candy to have a healtier snacking option. Let's just say that they were all still accounted for when the day was all said and done (so sad) LoL...

my dessert table was a hit...

the two specialty drinks on the menu were strawberry iced tea and blueberry lemonade... but with everything else to get in order the blueberry lemonade was all that we got around to making...I think it was a hit :!

a little fun for the little guys...and the big kids too...

it seems that I have a sister that aiint too bad at face painting, although I strongly suggest she stick to her day job :)

The boys God-sister stopped in for some fun...

my how they grow so fast... it seems like just a short while ago they were babies...

we had a hot dog bar...

and the bbq looked a little something like this...

clearly, my big lil was in the pool ALL DAY...

having fun with the cousins seems to be what it's all about...

while my new lil spent a lil quality time with his Great-Grandmother...

I LOVE the holidays!!! Happy Fourth of July everyone

{IT'S SHOWER TIME}...

I'm so excited to share this post with you guys today. After being pregnant for 9 long, lawwwnnngggg months, it's the perfect time to be showered. Baby showered that is. And I must say that it was perfect in every way.

From the perfect decorations to the perfect amount of peeps to the best chocolate chip cookies EVA (made by mine truly :) it was exactly what I needed. Fun times with family and friends. I figured I would snap a few to show off just how perfect it really was.

Hopefully, my precious Kendall would have thought we welcomed him in high style....I think....

My color scheme was blue, green and a hint of orangy goodness...

favorite part evA....personalized water bottles thanks to good ole' photoshop and my trusty printer!

And of course to top things off I had to introduce the last minute photobooth :)

Just thought I would share some of my showered goodness with my internet peeps. Now all that's left to do is welcome my newest cutie pootie into the world sometime in the near near future I hope (pregnancy is for the birds!!!)
